Hunting Guns

Firearms used for hunting represent the most diverse selection of guns for any type of shooting. Species hunted in Illinois range from small mammals such as squirrels, to large game such as whitetail deer. Upland bird hunting can start with quail and pheasant, and end with Spring hunting for Wild Turkeys. Our gun store in historical Petersburg is located just 20 minutes northwest of Springfield, IL along Illinois State Route 97. Petersburg is the County Seat of Menard County. New Salem Firearms is located in the Downtown Historic District on the west side of the Courthouse Square, next to the Menard County Historical Museum and across from the Abe Lincoln Survey Marker.
